The term “us” or “we” refers to RGHTNOW incorporated and registered under the laws of the government.

The term “you” or “your” refers to people who go to our app service that is requesting, hiring, and/or receiving a transportation service.


Personal Data We Process

We only process the information that is necessary for your needs on our marketplace. This ensures that we give you the best possible service for what you are looking to achieve.

Contact details
Your personal details like name, phone number, and e-mail address to best help you.
Profile information
Data to help you build your profile, such as your saved addresses and language preferences. Additional details like your driver’s license number may be required for some services.
Geolocation
Your location is accessed to offer local ride options, estimate journey time and expenditure options, and provide hints about your destination and traffic conditions. **Even when not using the app, the device may still fetch your location and provide ride request capability**.
Payment details
Information about the payment method used, such as the amount charged and the card details.
In-app communication records
Records of your in-app chats and interaction monitoring to ensure top-tier service and facilitate future contact/dispute resolution.
Limited identification data
The device IP address on which the app has been installed.
Ride data
Usage data such as journey time, the route taken, time stamps, and statistics. This data is valuable for scheduling reference and ensuring driver safety.
In-App message data
Information regarding the date, time, and content of your communication with a driver.
User image
Users’ profile images are stored for verification purposes.

Usage Data

Usage of the platform will automatically collect this data. Usage data is information about your device, browser, and website activity.

  • Device Information: IP address, device type, device ID number, operating system, network state, and your current location.
  • Browser/Website Activity: Browser version, pages you visit for customer service support, and details about your visits to our website or app.

Purpose of the Processing

  • To connect you with a driver: To connect users (riders) with available transportation services (cars, bikes, scooters) nearby. Instant messages are used for customer service and dispute resolution.
  • We help you keep track of your ride: To help drivers locate passengers and track the route. This data is collected **only when the app is activated (in use)**.
  • To make sure your smooth journey: Geolocation data is used to automatically direct employees to destinations, reduce lost time, and ensure correct billing.
  • We make sure the optimal app performance: To notify you of app changes and updates, and to collect limited device data (IP address, connection data) to improve service, verify authentication, and keep accounts safe.
  • To make sure to offer a quick, cheap, and most convenient ride to you: To analyze geographic coverage and route data to find efficient routes for drivers/scooters and ensure employees are near customers.
  • We collect your payment: To obtain payment details and process passenger payments for drivers.
  • We maintain and promote standards: To collect journey data (e.g., conclusion, time) to encourage customer safety, ensure compliance with terms, and resolve disputes.
  • We keep you informed: To use your contact details (name, phone number, email) to notify you of journey completion or send other trip-related information.


Recipients (Who We Share Data With)

We only work with trusted partners and authorities, sharing only what is necessary. **We do not sell your personal information** to companies that may use it against you.

  • Drivers: When a ride is requested, your personal data (name, contact number, location data, demographic information) is shared with the driver.
  • Driver Visibility Period: After the service is availed, your information remains visible to the driver for **24-48 hours** to resolve issues (e.g., items left in the car).
  • Feedback: Anonymous data is collected when riders give up-to-date feedback on their rides.
  • External Authorities: We are legally compelled to share information with external recipients when required by court order, or when cooperating with a data protection supervisory authority. This is done when the response is required by law and consistent with our Terms of Service.

Security of Your Personal Data

Data security is a top priority, and we strive to use industry-accepted means of data protection. However, keep in mind that **no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure**.


Children’s Privacy

We do not address anyone under the age of **13**. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and realize your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately to remove the information.

Some of our services are only available to users over 13. If we are required by law to seek parental consent to process any personal data, we will not be able to do so unless you give us their permission.

Retention and Payments

Retention

Our app stores users’ data only for as long as it needs to comply with our policies. Different data categories are stored for different periods:

  • Active Account: Personal data is stored as long as you use our services.
  • Account Closure: If closed, personal data is deleted according to retention schedules and rules.
  • Transportation Data: Stored for **three years** after the last journey.
  • Accounting Data: Stored for **seven years** after the last journey.
  • Anonymization: Personal journey history and usage data will be anonymized **3 years** after the last journey.
  • Legal/Regulatory Needs: Data will be retained to comply with internal, legal, and regulatory requirements (e.g., payment claims).

Payments and Governing Law

  • Policy Updates: Website policies and T&Cs may be changed occasionally; customers are encouraged to visit frequently. Changes are effective on the day they are posted.
  • Card Data Security: “All credit/debit card details and personally identifiable information will **not be stored, sold, shared, rented, or leased to any third parties**”.
  • Accepted Payments: “We accept payments online in **AED** (or any other agreed currency) using Visa and MasterCard credit or debit cards.”
  • Refunds: “Refunds will be done **only through the original mode of payment**.”
  • Governing Law: “Any purchase, dispute, or claim arising out of or in connection with this website shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the **UAE**”.
